On August 13th , Mr. Li Ruohong, Chairman of the China World Peace Foundation and President of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, was invited to attend the 1st Pakistan Mango Festival, enjoying fruit aromas with guests from all walks of life and sharing the friendship between China and Pakistan.

At the event , the juicy Pakistani mango conveyed the enthusiasm of the two peoples. During his conversation with the officials of Pakistani Senate and the Pakistani Embassy in China, Chairman Li Ruohong specifically mentioned a timeless "mango story": in the 1960s, the Pakistani President gifted Chairman Mao Zedong with locally produced mangoes as a precious gift, which sparked a craze in China for Pakistan. This tropical and sunny "mango" has since become a symbol of friendship between China and Pakistan. Chairman Li Ruohong also reviewed the mangoes given by Pakistani Prime Minister H.E.Mr. Sharif and Pakistani Ambassador to China H.E.Mr.Hashmi last month. The "golden mango" one by one are not only Pakistan's characteristic business cards, but also a warm ribbon connecting China Pakistan cultural diplomacy and promoting economic exchanges, which help the people to people project between the two countries become more mellow and long-lasting in the new era.
